An exciting arts and sustainability hub in Bristol, created by Global Goals Centre and Artspace Lifespace and countless community partners.

This is a vibrant venue where people can shop, recycle and explore what a greener, fairer and creative future could look like, breathing new life into the old M&S building until the site is redeveloped.

SPARKS FASHION DEPARTMENT

SFW designed and curated the SPARKS fashion department.

Flipping the idea of what a fashion department should look like, our focus was mainly on preloved and reworked clothing, with vintage and secondhand sellers taking centre stage. We had our clothes swap, repair cafe, a range of 10 permanent traders and a pop up pitch for micro brands and sustainable makers…

And of course - we had our usual SFW space for creativity and skills learning.

We uniquely combined fashion retail with fashion services.

OUR REPAIR CAFE

We’re in the process of finding a new venue for our SFW repair cafe. Come and find us when we’re settled to get your damaged clothes fixed by our repair technicians. Each week one of the repair team will be on site ready to mend your clothing using different techniques. Whether by machine or by hand, visible or invisible, creative or practical.

The service will be first-come-first-served, and if there’s capacity the repairer will demonstrate basic mending skills at the same time.
